Trek Portable Charging Solution for Victron Lithium Batteries

This charging solution provides an easy way to safely pre-charge Victron lithium batteries safely with a BMS.

If Victron batteries are connected in series, or if they have been connected in series and the cells are imbalanced, the batteries must be charged individually.

The challenge is that these batteries lack an internal BMS, so they should not connect to a charger without an in-line BMS.

1. Place the charger within 5ft of the battery that needs to be charged.
2. Connect alligator clips to battery, being mindful of positive and negative polarity
3. Connect 120V plug to an outlet or extension cord
4. Wait until charger reaches the ‘Float’ stage. Check Victron battery to ensure cells are now balanced.
5. Repeat for remaining batteries.
