Adding a micro SD card to a Cerbo GX will ensure the data captured by the Cerbo is still uploaded to VRM when disconnected from the internet for more than a few days. This ensures there are no gaps in VRM Data over time.
The GX device has a buffer to store a couple of days worth of logs internally. Inserting a MicroSD card will extend this period significantly.
